100 Years 100 Shots

I love a super cut, all the best bits thrown into one video, what’s not to love? Especially when its 100 Years 100 Shots worth of best bits.

Jacob T. Swinney takes this to a whole new level. He looks back at the last 100 years of cinema and chooses 100 of “the most memorable shots from each year.” This supercut to own all supercuts was so good, that actually became an Official Selection at the Tribeca Film Festival.

100 Years 100 Shots

Great music choice, taking the iconic track from Inception, combining that with scenes from so many classics and a few more obscure films out there, leads to one of the most inspiring supercuts for any indie filmmaker. The only thing I would have changed/added was to end with the final shot from”The Revenant”, creepy stare straight into the camera haha. What can’t be argued, though, is that this should inspire you to go write and film the best scenes you can, right now. GO!
